Automatic or “On Call” or Emergency Services
Stay on top of extreme winter weather events and un-budgeted liabilities by joining one of our lower cost automatic service routes and keep your facility in smooth operation throughout the entire weather event, with customizable temperature and precipitation level deployment triggers for snow plowing and de-icer application.
3/4 Ton 4x4 with an 8’ Blade
Fast and efficient electric over hydraulic snow plow for surface lot and drive lane clearing, to help you keep your commercial lots & business location in the smoothest operation possible during extreme winter weather events.
350lb Granular Tailgate Hopper Spreader
Fast and efficient wide area granular de-icer application, perfect for parking lots and drive lanes immediately after plowing ops, or before the freezing temperatures arrive.
300 Gallon Liquid De-icer Tank
Our operators can dismount the plowing vehicle, and quickly extend a hand held spray gun to apply a superior liquid de-icer (23.5% brine solution) to sidewalks, walkways, and store entry pads, minimizing the possibility for slips and trips in cold and icy conditions in pedestrian areas.
Auto Deployment Service: (least expensive)
If you elect to reduce your service costs by joining one of our Auto Deployment Service Routes, your facility will be scouted well ahead of time and the facility will be automatically maintained through the entire course of the winter weather or storm event. The plan for executing de-icing and/snow plowing operations will be formulated and submitted back to you the client for approval, including the deployment triggers, places to stack up and store snow. Once Client has approved the areas in the scope of work for de-icing (either liquid or granular) and/or snow plowing, our team(s) will deploy automatically to execute those directed services based on the specific weather and environmental triggers you have approved for the initiation of action, and agree to pay for service for. Auto deployments initiated will be based off specific forecasts, obtained from a reputable forecast agency. Since Washington, The greater Seattle and Puget Sound area enjoys rather mild winter weather, relative to other parts fo the country, we recommend “per push” or “per event” pricing as we might experience one or possibly two events per year. “Seasonal Contracts” or “Seasonal Monthly Pre-Pay Contracts” are best suited for areas such as Minnesota that receive large amounts of snow and ice every year under multiple events. “Per push” pricing is the best method for this area of the country, and is best suited to protect the customer’s bottom line and ensures Client only pays for services that have actually been provided, and only when needed…
Granular De-Icing Trigger Events:
We recommend automatically initiating de-icing services at 33 degrees F and below.
We recommend repeating de-icing weekly if the temperature has remained below 33 degrees F and has not rained.
We recommend repeating de-icing before weekly, if the temperature has warmed and it has rained, dissolving and washing away the granular de-icer, and then later cooled down again to 33 degrees F, to ensure that granular de-icer remains on the surfaces at all times during sub freezing temperatures.
We recommend applying granular de-icer to any parking and drive lane areas that we have plowed, as the de-icer will melt and burn through the remaining thin film of snow and ice and prevent signifiant future frozen build up during the remainder of a storm or due to later re-freezing. This will also aid in subsequent plowing passes during the same precipitation event, reducing plow truck time and accumulations that must be removed, thus reducing costs incurred.
Snow Plowing Trigger Events:
We recommend initiating snow plowing operations automatically within 1”-3” of accumulation if the temperature is 33 degrees and below, as this snow is likely to stick and freeze and become more dangerous.
We recommend initiating plowing operations automatically at greater than 3” of accumulation if the temperature is above 33 degrees, as in this area, lighter snow events at less than 3” melt off fairly quickly. This will obviate unnecessary plowing costs from snow that would otherwise vanish within a few hours.
We recommend repeating plowing operations every 1”-3” of additional accumulation throughout the remainder of any weather event, specifically keeping all areas in the scope of work free of snow and ice throughout the entire winter weather event.
On Call/Emergency Services: (most expensive)
The facility will be observed initially via overhead satellite imagery, or photos provided by the Client, IF ADVANCED TIMING ALLOWS, allowing our management and operators to form an initial basic plan for executing the Client’s directed scope of work. However, this plan may need to be modified once our workers arrive onsite, and if conditions on the ground dictate a modified plan. Your emergency service, if we are able to provide it, will be significantly more expensive than our Auto Deployment Program. Our Auto deployment program is designed to save our customers money on expensive winter weather services, by being prepared ahead of time. In this area of the country, it is almost expected that de-icing materials become very hard and expensive to obtain when they are really needed, in addition to the excessive labor hours and overtime the contractor must pay it’s employees during plowing ops, to maintain everyone’s needs during an extreme winter event. Our Auto Deployment customers will be serviced FIRST AND FOREMOST, in all situations. Any emergency services we can provide will be executed after our Auto Deployment Customers have had their full scopes accomplished.
